A New Publication On Effectiveness Of Parent‑Led ABA Catalight’s Dr. Doreen Samelson, Chief Clinical Officer and Dr. Lindsey Sneed, Vice President of Clinical Excellence, have recently published an important article on the effectiveness of Parent-led Applied Behavior Analysis. The publication, “Effectiveness of Parent-Led Applied Behavior Analysis at Improving Outcomes for Parents of Autistic Children” sought to understand the effect of Parent-Led Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), in comparison to Practitioner-Led Applied Behavior Analysis on parental stress and parental self-efficacy. See how the results further support the efficacy of parent-mediated treatment and underscore the importance of having parents trained and significantly involved in ABA treatment. Catalight Expands Smartwatch Pilot For Youth And Adults With IDD Catalight is pleased to announce our partnership with Awake Labs on a smartwatch-enabled technology pilot program that will include youth and adults in Easterseals Northern California’s parent-mediated and adult day programs. This is an excellent opportunity to test innovative technology used as part of a person-centered approach, focused on each individual’s goals. The expanded pilot is designed to assess and measure stress and strong emotions in real time for youth and adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD). Early results show great promise at improving the wellbeing of our clients. The pilot will welcome new participants and expand its use to the Catalight adult programs in the coming year.
