Ian Cook, Ph.D. Director, Clinical Excellence Dr. Cook is a Developmental Psychologist who began his career researching how infants and toddlers connect, communicate and learn during social interaction and how understanding social and communicative development can inform the early identification and treatment of Autism. His 15 years in the field and his experience working with children and families in research, treatment and school settings revealed a passion for seeing social engagement blossom and families thrive. As the Director of Clinical Excellence, Dr. Cook is thrilled to contribute to family well-being through a variety of means: delivering family-centered diagnostic and assessment services virtually and in our Walnut Creek clinic; working with the Clinical Standards Board to establish industry-leading guidelines and practices; partnering with a multidisciplinary Catalight Cares team to conduct applied research to improve clinical outcomes and expand access to diagnostic and treatment services for communities in need.
